Product Overview

This reinforced polyethylene plastic film is made for work areas where ordinary PE sheeting may split after snagging, puncture or edge damage. The grid sits inside the laminate rather than on the surface. String reinforced polyethylene film uses a different principle from high density cross laminated polyethylene film. Cross-laminated material distributes stress through oriented layers. How Does the Embedded String Grid Limit Tear Propagation?

Once a cut reaches the internal grid, the surrounding scrim interrupts the tear path. Performance still depends on the selected pattern, grid density and edge condition. For vertical enclosure work, samples should be checked after cutting, folding and fastening simulation. Corners, cut edges, reinforced bands and eyelet holes need attention because uneven tension often concentrates around the perimeter. The laminate should also be checked for edge delamination after repeated handling.
