This supports print registration and laminate uniformity during printing, lamination and pouch making. How Should Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene Film Be Verified Before Printing and Lamination?

Before routine production, run a sample roll under the intended converting conditions. Check haze, gloss, thickness consistency, MD/CD tensile strength, MD/CD thermal shrinkage and the coefficient of friction for the selected polyethylene film grade. Review dynamic COF against a typical reference of 0.20 +/- 0.05 and the treated surface against >=38 dynes/cm. Confirm whether the printable side faces inward or outward.

After unsuitable storage, allow rolls to stabilize before high-speed converting and recheck dyne level, haze and slip behavior. During the trial, observe web tracking, print registration, ink adhesion, adhesive wetting, roll flatness and laminate appearance.
